Stepp’s is another great local pick your own orchard that has an excellent reputation for growing premium Blue Ridge Mountain apples in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Visitors can expect to find a number of other activities to enjoy at this fourth generation working farm as well, including pumpkin picking, weekend hay rides, educational activities and a charming country store offering gifts and food items.

North Carolina Apple Festival – Hendersonville, NC

As long as we’re on the topic of apples, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention the much celebrated state Apple Festival. Held every year in downtown Hendersonville, the North Carolina Apple Festival is the our states annual celebration of all things apple related, as well as a chance for local residents to share their culture, crafts and traditions with visitors from all over the country. The North Carolina Apple Festival is held over Labor Day weekend with festivities set up along Hendersonville’s quaint and historic Main Street.
